The Best Western Hotel Spaander is located in a prime position in Volendam on the banks of the IJsselmeer. Thi historical hotel dating back to 1881 has a truly authentic Dutch feel to it.
Each of the 79 luxurious bedroms have been uniquely decorated and feature authentic Dutch decor. Rooms are generously proportioned and offr fantastic views over the Ijsselmer or Volendam’s famous boulevard on the dike.
The hotel’s famous restaurnt offers a delightful menu featuring Volendam and Dutch specialities. Guests can sample such delights as panfried eel, whilst being served by waitresses in the traditional Volendam costume.
Guests will love explorin the town of Volendam on foot – the traditional Dutch houses, the canals, the scenic waterfront and of course he dike itself. The historical towns of Edam and Monnickendam are close by and worth a visit.
